Hi Coffee are a chain of premium coffee shops based in travel hotspots around South Wales and the UK.
We were asked to review and refine the existing Hi Coffee brand and create new visual assets and a scalable brand identity that could be rolled out across multiple stores and formats as the business grew.
Having managed the Hi Coffee visual brand for 2+ years we have also been responsible for developing their first website in that time.
We worked collaboratively with the team to develop a fresh and unique set of brand values that would outline future store standards, steer customer perception and lay the foundations for a sophisticated and unique visual identity.
During our time working together, Hi Coffee has grown from a train station store to a multi-faceted brand with a variety of product offerings, as well as store formats and locations. We have been responsible for developing not only the core brand, but a number of sub brand identities that have aided the operation of business. For example: Helping to categorise menu items, promote seasonal offerings and highlight HC's all inclusive values with the child friendly 'Hi Coffee Kids' products.
Going against industry convention we opted for a simple illustrated image style which provides the client with a versatile, cost effective alternative to product photography. This imagery is used boldly across printed table menus, in store posters, external banners and signage and is also used in animated content on the in-store television screens.
We designed and developed Hi Coffee's first website giving them a platform to promote their product offering, showcase their store locations and to communicate their brand story and impressive values to their prospective clients.
