May was a fantastic month for Arobase Creative for both work and non-work related reasons.

First of all, it was great to see our small business community getting back on its feet with many of the new clients we met during May starting up new businesses or rebranding to come through Covid stronger than before.

We have had the pleasure of working with financial planners, clothing boutiques, IT companies, PPE wholesalers, fast food brands, funeral directors, personal trainers, letting agents and more. Each ambitious client with their own challenges that we can help through branding, website design and marketing.

Our other exciting piece of news this month involves a new Bristol home for Arobase Creative. For our clients outside of Bristol and the South West, this does not impact our presence elsewhere but we now have a new larger work space where we can continue the growth of the business for years to come and offer exciting opportunities to budding designers and creatives alike. Read more about it below.

If this is your first time reading our monthly review, we always endeavour to write up full case studies on our favourite projects and success stories but this blog gives us the chance to share the little stuff that is impactful in its own right. Here are 5 key highlights from the month of May.

In the Spotlight: Expert IFP

We designed a suite of company literature for Expert IFP to promote their wide range of services

Expert Independent Financial Planning (Expert IFP) is the new Harrow based business venture of experienced lifestyle financial planner Amit Mittal.

Amit came to Arobase to create a new brand identity for his business as well as a new brochure website, company literature, corporate stationery and developing his social media presence.

Expert IFP is a financial planning brand that helps their clients reach their goals and live their desired lifestyles. We understood the aims of the business and their core target market and delivered a brand identity that struck a balance between selling dreams and helping real people overcome the stresses of securing their financial future.

The identity features a strong navy blue colour that provides the confidence and trust that is accustomed to brands in the financial sector. We paired this with a warm peach colour that would feature as an accent across the branding, often in the form of a flowing curved line that we used to represent the non-linear 'journey' of life and saving money.

We used a range of warm and aspirational imagery throughout the brand which focuses on achievable life goals and the emotional sell of financial planning - Happy families, retirees full of life and couples with peace of mind.

Expert IFP is one of a number of businesses we have helped in the financial sector following full rebranding projects for Currency Index (exchange) and FCF (accountancy). We understand the demands of branding for the financial sector and most importantly we understand what potential clients want.

If you have a business within the financial sector and would like to discuss how you can get more from your branding, website or marketing then please get in touch.

Introducing Arobase HQ

Shots of the new Arobase office as we acquired it. We will have a studio/workspace, meeting room and a photography studio.

Aside from client work, May marked an exciting new chapter for our business. After 3 ½ years of combining working from home and serviced offices we picked up the keys to our very own studio.

The timing of moving premises is of course a little strange, however it’s an important step we’ve been looking to take for a long time and we couldn’t be more excited.

The Former Chapel is also a rare find. A building with a 300 year old history and the perfect amount of character to build our base from. It’s in a great location too, with easy access to major motorways, train stations and nearby business centres.

Naturally, we won’t be officially in there for a month or so, but that gives us even more time to get the space perfect. Kitting out the studio has already began and we’re looking forward to working with local contacts wherever possible to get it just right.

ButterUp Outdoor Campaign

ButterUp billboard ad in Hammersmith, London (L) and baby artwork we created (R)

We had fun realising this ad idea for butterup.co's outdoor advertising campaign across London. The client was looking to make a real statement with their new tattoo aftercare products using this eye catching image and brand messaging.

We have been working with ButterUp since 2019 helping them with their branding as a new startup and establishing their product packaging and marketing materials along the way.

Teegan's Boutique

E-commerce website we designed for Teegan's Boutique.

Teegan's Boutique is a women's clothing retailer with an online e-commerce store and physical boutique shop in Harrow, West London.

Having worked alongside shop owner Caron on a number of other projects, she came to us to create a new brand identity and develop a Shopify e-commerce store so that she could bring the latest women's fashion to her friends and the local community.

We love supporting small business owners with their new start up projects and it was a pleasure helping Caron set up her business in loving memory of her granddaughter Teegan.

Owen IT Brand Development

Services brochure we created as part of the brand development for Owen IT featuring icons, pattern and new icon set.

Last year we were approached by Bristol based IT provider 'Owen IT' to help develop their existing brand identity. They had a logo design with an interesting concept and one that they were ultimately happy with but they wanted us to add a little finesse and help build a brand around it.

We often stress that rebranding doesn't require a demolition job and we can always improve, develop and add to the existing brand assets. This was the case for Owen I.T where we expanded on the existing on/off button concept and built a cohesive brand identity that combines expressive curves, a modern colour palette and a new brand pattern.

The brand really came to life this month with the opening of their new office in Hengrove. Over the next month we’ll be finalising the rest of the printed material and handing over all the brand assets to their web development team to get this brand fully launched.
